Dont' kill me here, bu does anyone know where I can find the different series of DK's without having to scour the catalogs? I have a DK2M, and a DKMG. I know there's more like what Hellbat posted a DKMT. And what do they stand for? Fairly new to owning Jacksons, nicest guitars I've purchased in years.

The MG series are basically the same as the regular DK2, but have EMG pickups. The T at the end in the case of the DKMGT indicates string through. It also has a reverse headstock. Jackson likes to keep people confused though because in the "5" series guitars (KV5, RR5, etc) a T at the end indicates a floyded model. I believe the newer DK2T's came with Duncans and a normal headstock.GTWGITS! - RacerX

I'll take a crack at what I've learned. And yes, they really do keep people confused so don't take anything as hard and fast rules..
-DK is for Dinky. All are 25.5 scale AFAIK. There also were/are JDR, JSX, PS, DX, JS models that are also Dinkys. There's USA, Professional, Pro Series (DK2 and the like, not the Professional PRO), Performer, MG, Concept, etc..
-MG series have EMG pickups. Earlier models have EMG HZs, Vol, Tone, and a "Turbocharger" (EMG afterburner). Later ones have 81/85, Vol, Tone.
-"T" models (except Performer models, and maybe the 5's like Hellbat said) are string through. The Performers that had T meant Tremolo (PS-3T is a RR with a JT500 tremolo, etc..)
-"R" models of the past are reverse headstock. (90's Kelly Professional XLR is a XL model with reverse HS.... DR model is a Dinky Reverse, etc..)
-DK1 is USA (The only USA Dinky AFAIK) with HH and trem.
-DK2 is MIJ with HSS and trem.
-DK2T is MIJ with HSS and string through.
-DK2M is MIJ with HH (just to keep us on our toes..), trem, and maple neck.
^^ all of those have sharkies. Started with Duncan Designed, then got real Duncans (JB/Jazz I think).
-DKMG is MIJ with HH, archtop, reverse HS, trem, pirannha tooth inlays.
-DKMGT - same but with string through..
Then there's the DX models..
-DXMG is MIJ, HH, trem, reverse HS, and sharkies.
-DXMGT is MIJ, HH, string through, and has a smurfhat 3+3 HS.
There's lots more but I don't remember all the specs.. DX10, DR models, Musiciansfriend, Guitar Center, Sam Ash, etc all had plenty of exclusive models..
OK, that's all I'm willing to type for now... There's a start..Every man dies... Not every man really lives!!

Can only add the confusing model details can sometimes work to your advantage -- like when one of the big boxes does not know what they are selling used. MIJ stuff seems consistently undervalued from what I've seen.Pro Series DK2M Dinky (Discontinued) *Seymour Duncan JB TB4, Jazz SH2N* Five-way Superswitch (aftermarket, split coils)
