Hmmmm? Everything about that guitar is Jackson original. The headstock made its first appearance on the first Warriors well before Schecter and ESP introduced their budget Korean guitars.
As a matter of fact. The Schecter C-1 is a direct rip off of the Jackson Soloist Archtop that was produced well before the C-1 was a wet dream for its designer.
So to put those 2 features together is quite a natural progression.
Schecter and Charvel/Jackson go way back together. Schecters C-1 headstock was specifically designed to attract the player who wanted a PRS type CHEAP!
Don't call Jackson the follower. The others are.
Just want to set the record straight. I don't see the trying to rip anyone off. Just taking what they are due from their own history.
    Have a great one.

These are 100% facts. But the younsters look at this as a Jeff Loomis Sig ripoff. It's true. I was talking with my kid and his bud who actually thought this.

Well, we did play or wanted the exact guitars our idols played. That hasn't changed at all. Jackson should have worked with Alexi Laiho at that time, Kept Dave on board..which included Glen Drover. Then approached Jeff Loomis. Being a little ahead of the curve, by keeping your fingers on the pulse. Being pro-active at grabbing what inspires players that will be irrelevant..via trends.

Chris Broderick was a nice grab...vicariously thru Jeff. Same with Marty Friedman...vicariously thu Jeff as a kid. They played Schecters and Carvins respectively before jumping on the Megatrain. Two horribly unnecessary sigs are those Machine Head, Trivium models. Which to me looks much too desperate to be pathetic. You couldn't give me one on principle. I'd rather have a Dean Razorback..sarcastic and true.

I'd rather keep these styles like the DK7R. Which both Peter Witchers (Soilwork) Pers Nillson (Scar Symmetry) use. Swedish Players inspired the bulk of metal-core players for the last decade.Which is why you see many with Caparison and ESP guitars.

Unless you're in Steel Panther..nobody cares about 80's styles anymore. Just us old fuckers. But it didn't have to be that way. Which is my point.

Now you're crazy! IMO the Matt Tuck is cool: MIJ neckthrough Rhoads with reverse headstock = Badass. Don't like the inlays however.

The Matt Tuck sig didn't last long. He's endorsed by B.C. Rich now with an ugly-ass V!

I don't know who the guy is but his RR was a tragedy enough as is, but that is just one of the ugliest guitars i've ever seen... must be some good heroin.

Ewwww..that reminds me of that fugly Mike Amott ESP (I think)..but worse. He always played Gibbys, and his Bro played Comparions. All these Sigs just look terrible...most of them anywho.

Call me silly, but I thought that Moser V that Gary Holt used was cool. I mean, it looked none more metal.

Dave nassie from bleeding through left schecter recently and now plays a white socal. So i mean, the 80s style isnt gone.
And yeah i posted that matt tuck left like a year ago, nobody cares about him tho. I think only teenage girls even listen to them

Good point, we could all use more 18 year old hotties. especially if they keep getting hotter like they have been

Whoa, I've been away for far too long, and now I see this thread!
Great to know Jackson are still trying out some new designs, however, I'm not too keen myself on those smurfy headstocks unless they're reversed like Broderick's sigs. But overall, they still look sweet in comparison to the meh Schecters!

I would buy one of those 7s in a heartbeat... I'm just not sure about the longer scale. The folks at sevenstring.org seem to be convinced they're at least 26.5".
