    They are made of plastic.

Jackson said, that the frets are made of stainless steel. But the inlays are plastic ones. The Jackson Custom Shop X-Series (Limited Run) had stainless steel inlays for example.

Bloody hell, I take it back then. It's a horrendous guitar.

By the way - and I'm being completely honest - the floyd rose on my KV Limited Elite has been AMAZING. Well over a month since I've really tuned the guitar, and it's only a few "cents" off on each string. Now, I don't really use the trem bar, so that's a big reason for how stable it's been, but this is UNREAL.

I'm a boilermaker and I can tell you that mild steel is attracted to a magnet, real stainless is not (nor aluminum for that matter). I have the Elite RR and the inlays look plastic to me. Great guitar, non the less.

Earlier today i ordered a 37mm brass block and brass claw, noiseless heavy duty springs and stainless steel saddle screws from Floyd Upgrades. Can't wait to throw them into this baby!

Question: does anyone know where i can get some trem cavity cover screws? I lost one when i changed the strings.

You should visit your local guitar dealer to get some screws. They should have enough of them, and if you are going to ask the dealer friendly, i shouldn't cost you anything

It depends on what kind of stainless. 400 series is magnetic. 300 series is not.

I'm pretty sure the inlays are plastic but the frets are stainless. They also seem to have gone with stainless steel locking nut screws and string lock screws which is a nice upgrade. Would be nice to have a proper spec sheet from Jackson though. As for the screws, i'll check out some local guitar places or if not, maybe even a hardware store. They are tiny black countersunk screws.
