I'd say closer to 800+. The charvel version I believe had the nick name of les paul killer. Your guitar is from the start of the jackson years that most say rivalled the USA quality and cut into the USA sales.

Don for the win. Its a nice axe. I'm sure you wouldn't have to much trouble finding interest in a buyer. Ya might even get some offers from here. I'd say its closer to 7's tho but, its whatever someone is willing to pony up for it.

The $400 is an inside joke. It's a price that is assigned to any axe being asked about.

With a serial number that low, it may indeed be a prototype.

You guys have been quite hospitable and informative.
            ( I like the 400.00 thing btw..)

Funny thing about researching these kinda things
is that by the time it's all over, you find yourself
falling in love all over again with your little six-stringed ,
oddball despite its " questionable childhood"..

cheers to all that helped me & I owe all you guys one
            in the future!

I strongly suggest that you re-think selling it. I've been waiting years for one, but it still hasn't happened. I'm always in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do have a killer 750XL (the pre-cursor to the AT-Pro), but I'd still love to score an AT-Pro.

BTW, the main difference between the two is the ebony vs. rosewood, and the AT-Pro has a thinner body than the 750XL. Not quite as heavy.
