This is my first post so be gentle.. I went to the local pawn shop and behind the counter was a goobered up Jackson. I have been a Jackson fan forever, and asked if I could see it. The Guitar was black with EMG-HZ's, a JT580 trem, and a bound neck and headstock. As soon as I saw it I asked the guy what was the lowest he would go. He had it listed at $180, but I ended up buying it for $120.

Of course I took it home, completely disassembled and cleaned it, put it all back together and set it up. Perfectly straight neck, low action with no fret buzz, and all the gunk on the body came off and the guitar is like brand new. It is probably the best playing guitar I have, and I have a Jackson DX10D (I think the FS model), Charvel Desolation, an ESP, a Gibson les Paul Supreme, etc...

There is a few tiny dings on the body, but nothing major or even noticeable. What freaked me out the most is that the frets have no wear at all. From the #'s in the neck pocket, it is a 2007.. I have never been happier getting a guitar than this one!

Cool. You are the first person to beat the price I paid ($180). I didn't need to do anything to mine.

Why should it freak you out? Many parents buy their kids a guitar for Christmas, and 5 years later when the kid needs drug money it's hawked in a pawn shop

Thanks Guys! No joke.. I stole this from the Pawn shop (not literally)! The only gripe I have with it is that the pickup rings are slanted. I'll be replacing them with metal black flat rings and then it'll be perfect!

I'm surprised a pawn shop let it go for that cheap; pawn shops usually bend you over. That's a hell of deal though...

I thought about that, but I figured I'd just replace them. The action is so low with this guitar that I noticed I'm hitting the neck pickup ring with my pick every time I play the low E string...

Yeah, I was pretty ecstatic when i bought it. Honestly with all the finger crud all over the body, it looked like a mess. I was a little worried it would be pretty bad, but all of it came off!

That's a great deal. The few times I've gone into pawn shops they want way too much money for a crusty old piece of fire wood with rusty old guitar strings.
