Don't sweat it, it's not an "official" designation, it's just something a few JCFers decided to come up with, like the "Get The Whole Guitar In The Shot" thing.

And is that a DX-1 or a DK-2? I thought all those older models from the mid-90s always came with the model etched in the trussrod cover?

When I took the guitar apart when I got it and cleaned it, it said on the neck and neck cavity DX1. I am assuming it's all original (except for the pickups) and the neck plate is definitely the old style.
