I got it a couple of days ago for $400.
It's got great action with very little buzz.
I'm not sure of the quality of the vibrato, but it does come right back to pitch after heavy diving and pulling. The vibrato block has a sticker with #30101087 on it.
The frets have little to no wear. I believe I've played it more in the last couple of days than it's been played its entire life.
It's a weird, light yellow color. Was this a standard color?
The lock at the nut has slotted screws instead of allen heads. Was this standard?
Any idea of the year it was manufactured?
Oh, and it's heavy. Not quite Les Paul heavy but pretty close.
It came with a gray Charvel-embossed hard shell case as well.

I dont know a lot about trems, but that looks like a khaler nut with an ofr.

Looks like a model 3 (Made in Japan) from the 1987 to 1988 time frame. The neck plate serial may help in narrowing it down.

The trem is a JT6. These can be decent trems if you take care of them but the quality of some of the components is suspect. Opinions vary on the trem so keep it if you like or swap it for an OFR if you don't.

The original color was white and it's yellowing due to age (I like the yellowed look).

The locking nut with slotted screw heads was standard. Supposedly you can use a coin in a pinch.

It's a JT6 trem. Some cry they are junk, I think they are fine. Most have issues because they strip the screw holes or threads. Treat it nicely and it will last.

Finishes yellow with age. More if they are left in UV light.

Either 87 or 88. Some people on this forum know how to date guitars by the s/n.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your Model 3. I'd love one like it with dual hums (the 3A) but ass-pirates on ebay want $999 for it.

I saw the serial # thread. Need to dig through that.

I'll jam with it a bit more and see if I need to swap for an OFR.

I didn't like the yellow at first but it's growing on me. I think that has to do more with the playability of the guitar.

The yellowing will deepen every time it's exposed to direct sunlight. Those pics were likely taken by the guy you bought it from, so don't do that. The factory color is 'Pearl White' and the guitar is a 100% stock early 1988 Model 3.
