Jackson Adrian Smith model goes import

Not a US Jackson topic specifically, but just saw that the US Strathead Adrian Smith model is now available as a relatively inexpensive import:

$665 MSRP. Street price online seems to be $499. Surprised that Jackson is moving this kind of guitar down-market.

That link above says, "compound-radius rosewood or maple fingerboard......white pickguard (rosewood fingerboard model) or black pickguard (maple fingerboard model)...."

Looks like a way to get a Pro-Mod style guitar on the cheap! I like the $666 MSRP....First show of tour is tonight, can't wait til August...Up The Irons!!!!

Huh? The Mark Morton Dominion, the Kevin Bond Rhoads, the Matt Tuck Rhoads, Christian Older Wolbers 6- and 7-string Dinkies have all been Japanese imports.
The Adrian Smith import has actually been talked about here in the past few months...

From what I've been hearing (correct me if I'm wrong) Jackson doesn't maker guitars in Japan no more. This one will probably be made in india or china

Would be interesting if the PC-1 was next to be available as an import. I'd like the idea of a lower cost version of that guitar with that neck profile.
