Correct. The only one still in the lineup is the Mark Morton, but I'm not sure if that's still going to be produced in Japan or not.
I thought the Adrian Smith models were being made in India, but I'm not totally sure.

It seems as though there are only two choices left for J/C products at this point. Stupid cheap or stupid expensive. It is sort of like the vanishing middle class (Rich & Poor) no in between? IMHO!

Maybe, But I'll tell you that the quality of the "Stupid Cheap" has been as good as the Mid Level stuff from back in the day.

+1 i NEVER purchased an import jackson because i never felt the quality was up to snuff with the price....the new "cheap" guitars are a really good bang for the buck.
            GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

            and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I know the X series is MII
As far as the logo looking off I think we are used to the J being lower just a bit.
I like this option of having an affordable cool Jackson.
              I'm broke so I can't buy one.
              Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I think the mij jackson stuff is incredible. Was just as good as a prestige ibanez for hundreds less.

But, i think the js and x series are great guitars, they sound great and play great. My only complaint is that they feel weird. Like there is a plastic coating over fretboard and around the edges on the necks. Makes them feel cheaper in my hand
I'm going to give you the keys to the Lamborghini

I like the look. Looks similar to the Charvel So Cal. How does it compare in quality?

I asked the MGR at GC if they were going to get this model in.He wasn't sure at this time but would let me know when he hears something.
I did remark that the only Jacksons they get are the low end of the line.He agreed they need more of the mid range Jacksons.

there's a lot bad rep for indian, korean made guitars, but is their quality slowly catching up? or you guys think that's never going to happen?

It's the wood that makes it good, so who knows.

I would say it's got a lot more to do with overall build quality and craftsmanship than just the wood but hey... In terms of craftsmanship and build quality India has been making pretty great playing guitars since the JS series and if the new X series is anything to go by then things are only getting better and better. However, even if/when Indian made guitars do achieve a level of quality that is on par with Japanese made guitars there will still be a stigma associated with owning an Indian made instrument that will take a while to go away. I say ignore all the hearsay, try one and make your own judgements.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

I'm with Devotee on this one. Just as with the Desolation series from Charvel.

They did... it was called a PC3.
Didn't sell very well so they canned it.
