First things first.. I want to give a big thanks to BigE13 for selling this guitar to me! I have been GAS'ing for a maple fretboard dinky for a few months now and finally have one! He did a great job describing the guitar and this thing is darn near showroom perfect. he also did a fantastic job packing and shipping the guitar.
Since I've realized that Jackson guitars just feel right when I play them (love the neck and compound radius fingerboard), I've been getting my hands on every one I can, so in about 3 months, I've now acquired 4 Dinky guitars (I'm working on another I may get this week!). I've had a fascination with the maple fretboard with black binding and inlays, and have been looking for one pretty much since I started getting into Jackson guitars. Now I finally have one, and I don't think I could have found a better one than this.
It's a 2006 (according to the neck pocket and neck heel) Inferno Red DK2M. Something I didn't realize until I got the guitar, is that the Inferno Red color actually is either a metallic, or a candy color over pearl. I can't tell for sure, but it's not a normal solid color. It's so hard to tell in the pics, but in person, it's an amazing finish. It came with the stock JT580LP Floyd and the JB and Jazz Duncans, black binding, and black delrin sharkfin inlays. Frets and fretboard are in excellent condition, as is the rest of the guitar. There literally is not a single ding on the body!
To me, I don't think I could have wanted any more in this guitar, with the exception that it could have a reverse headstock (but I'm not complaining!). I originally wanted a white DK2M, but wouldn't trade this for the world!
Like my wife says.. I'm a Jackson Hoarder (and damn proud of it)!
