Put it this way, when you have projects that you haven't finished in 20 years like me, then I might complain

Here is a Charvel 375 I had re-topped,refined by RSguitarworks.
It was in sad shape when I got but came out very well.
The blade switch area was cracked and had a coil tap switch where the blade switch should have been.
The best way to fix it was fill and do 3 mini toggles.

I've got an antique buffet in our dining room that I restored, all but the doors. I keep telling my wife, I'll get it done this weekend.. It's now been about 5 years!

Got some work done on it last night and this evening.... But the top is on both the body and neck!!! I'm still routing out the trem so bare with me! I'm not going to do the binding around the neck.. It'd be way too much time and blood to do it properly... Gonna get that trem routed out in the next day or so, then finish filling the pores, sanding, etc.. Then to add some color! Going for a yellow/amber with a really fine black burst around the edges, including the headstock to match!

I wet the bubinga with a little mineral spirits to help the grain pop a little for the pics.. As if it needed it....

This will be epic, really nice work man.

I love binding but I agree there's too much work & risk, it probably wouldn't suit the finish your going for anyway.

Question... With or without a pickup ring? I bought a black metal pickup ring to use, but now I'm starting to think it would be better without.. To Many Decisions!!!!

I personally prefer having the ring because I don't like the sloppy look of direct mount. I also like the look of covered vs. exposed coils. I'm weird like that.

Never been a fan of covered pickups, but I kinda like it with or without the rings. Just not sure on this one...

I'd prefer it with the ring, but uncovered, unlike the weirdo a couple of posts up :p
