The mid level esp's use the 1000 series floyd, the low end models use the floyd special. Big difference. Same with BC Rich, Schecter, etc. I had the Charvel SoCal model, but sold it cause I didn't like the neck. Does that qualify? I have a Jackson SL3 now, which I love. To me, thats a mid level guitar. High end would be the USA models. Sorry, but it is a low end guitar, same specs as the ESP gl200. The sdx model has nothing in common with the signature model, different wood, pickups, hardware, etc. Just the looks. Again, that was done to cut costs, not a bad price for what it is. What is you reasoning that its a mid level guitar? Also never said anything about my budies not liking them, wtf? If u like the guitar, buy it and be happy, don't take my opinion so personally, not a big deal. People aren't always going to agree with you.

Lets see, I'm coming from almost 30 years of C/J experience ...You can compare it to ESP all you want, it's apples and oranges. remember BTW, ESP did nothing but rip off the big guys. They haven't been that innovative on their own and yes, Jackson is one of the companies they ripped off. Do you think the model series were low level guitars as well?

Racer you may be on to something.
Sure its not what I would call a top notch guitar but much better than what Jackson has been offering lately that hasn't been geared for the 12 -18 year old demographic.
ESP has been ripping off the big boys for decades I assume you know that.Anything original from ESP has tanked big time.Yes I have had some high end ESP's in the past too.
Had a Kirk Hampster MIJ model and the inlays looked worse than on the Indonesian model.High quality?Really? well screw Mark Twain.
