  • Help Identify my Jackson

I traded for this and have had a hard time finding any info on it. Any help would be much appreciated.
It has gold hardware if you can't tell from the picture and the bridge humbucker isn't orginal. I forgot to
mention its a bolt on neck.

Sorry to tell ya bud, but that ain't a Jackson. Hope you didn't trade much for it, because it looks like a cheap fake!

It maybe a fake, I don't know. But its got the nicest thinnest neck I've ever played and it stays in tune really well. I havent got much in it at all, so its all good. I don't understand why anyone would fake something that wouldn't be worth a whole lot to begin with thou.

There's nothing Jackson about that guitar. Sharkfins are a weird shape, the body is nothing like Jackson's ever done, and they've never had a headstock like that.

              Tradetang maybe?

Yep not a Jackson at all.Pic of the neck plate to see how far they wanted to go with this rouse.
Did you trade in a store? If so go get your stuff back it has to be worth more than this thing.

                  Here we go again!

It's a fake. We (ahem) are the Jackson experts. There's no maybe about it.

I didn't want to say anything, but racerx is absolutely right.

If it plays and sounds good and you didn't trade something worth a lot then keep it and have fun!

I had a friend that bought a black and white striped Kramer 5150 from a guy for $200. He asked me if I can change his strings, because this was his first floating bridge. I kept on breaking strings and couldn't tune it worth a shit.

Well, he took it to a music store and they had a hard time with it and I googled a little bit and found out it was a chinese copy from tradetang, alibaba, dhgate. I actually still really liked it! The neck was very comfortable and fast and the 1 bridge pickup was excellent. The paint job looked cool too. I told him to buy a $50 licensed floyd on ebay and it would've been a great guitar.

Beat me to it! Definitely a Douglas by the headstock. If you like it, wear it out! That's all that matters!

brownsville and carlson guitars both had that headstock too. It's a guitar made who's knows where that will slap any name of the headstock.

Charvel had a headstock kind of like it too, that why I wanted to ask you guys, the experts. I knew something was funny before I traded for it because I couldn't find notta nothing. But then I saw this and just had to ask.
