May have found a killer deal for a DK2!!!!

I was browsing around online and came across this guitar!



Says it's a DK2. Been played and has some minor scratches but no gouges. Comes with Jackson hardshell case. Of course missing a knob, and the back trem plate is missing also. Asking $150, and shipping around $20. I asked for some more pics, but he won't be able to provide them till tomorrow.. If the guitar looks good in the pics he provides tomorrow, I'm buying it! I love amber! The only thing that gets me is I figured it would have black hardware, but maybe on this model it came with chrome...

Hell if it comes with the Jackson SKB case, it's worth $150 to me haha...

I believe the earlier ones had the satin chrome hardware and it changed to black later on. I'll throw 2006ish out there, but thats probably wrong.

I just about went ahead and ordered it anyways despite not seeing more pics. For that price, it's a steal if it's in decent shape! And it does look like satin chrome in the pic. That's kinda cool...

Talked to a different guy today, and he said there are 2 noticable gouges in the guitar. One near the input jack, and another almost at an equal distance from the strap button opposite side from the input jack, both on the bottom of the guitar. Almost like someone banged it down onto a guitar stand and the two supports of the stand hit into the guitar. The way he described it, makes me think more dents than gouges. He also said there are some stress cracks in the paint only on the back of the body that doesn't look like its the wood. he said it is satin chrome hardware, of course missing the knob and the switch tip, and he said it has a bar, but is not sure if it's the satin chrome one. According to him, the top of the body is in pretty good condition. I asked about the neck/frets, and he said that the frets are pretty good, binding is good, but there is a small ding not into the wood around the headstock tip, but no cracks or chips. The neck has some relief in it, but not warped or bowed. More than likely just a truss rod adjustment. The guy was actually very honest and helpful. He is sending me some pics in a few and he said he would try to make any issues look horrible in the pics so I could see what is wrong. He's checking the case to see what kind it is...

Some of this stuff is small issues to me that I can fix. Once I get the pics, I'll decide whether I get it...

Called them back, and ended up talking to someone else. They only sent 2 pics, but this one pic of the damage... Definitely into the wood. I sent a message back asking for the other pics they were supposed to send me.

I'll pass.. Without seeing this thing in person, I'm a little too weary.. Although.. It looks like it has a takeuchi trem.. Oh.. And they said it didn't have a case.. It's the top guitar listed on the page here...

No case, and I'm a little too weary of the cracks on the back. Too odd for a finish crack to go from one end of the body to the other, especially when you have a trem route it has to jump.. I guess anything is possible, but I'm not taking the chance...

I didn't program GC's so I don't know the competency of there programmers.
