Yeah, hard to say...I think it may just be an optical illusion with the large Jackson logo?

No, even from the back it looks bulbous. I'd still have one if I hadn't been buying so many other guitars lately.

They changed headstock profiles again... under the logo, looks Jackson again, the ball end looks off though. The first pictures of the SDX that came out had Fender profile under the logo... or it just could be variation in quality control. lol

$449 for a brand-new, full warranty, Jackson strathead. Pretty tough to beat IMHO.

If nothing else, a great guitar to mod to your liking.

Beyond 11 sells it for that much as well. I posted this in the other SDX thread but if you call Musicians Friend, they will match the $100 off $499+ that Guitar Center has right now. I've played one in person and thought it was a great deal at $499. $399 made it irresistible.

Beyond 11 sells it for that much as well. I posted this in the other SDX thread but if you call Musicians Friend, they will match the $100 off $499+ that Guitar Center has right now. I've played one in person and thought it was a great deal at $499. $399 made it irresistible.

The $100 of at GC does NOT include Jackson. Surprised MF would match it when there isn't anything to match.

Those MF / GC coupons never work with the big names probably for legal / partnership reasons. You just have to talk to someone in person and they give it to you.

I was about to bring this up. They bend a lot more on the phone than they do with online purchases, and their standard coupons apply more (or so they said to me in email communications) when you call. Jackson, Ibanez, etc.
