Hey guys! I intend to do a full review if someone asks for one. Yesterday, after almost 20 years of a long, long wait, I bought THREE Jackson guitars.
My first target was a Black XSeries, the new ones, made by Harmony. After two hours of testing guitars, checking the place's inventory, I found some good deals.
And I ended picking up these jewels:
The XSeries has a Floyd (the white one looks much more beautiful than the black one I wanted originally ). It comes with an EMG 81 and an EMG 85. I'm not a Floyd guy anymore, but I couldn't let these babies behind!
The Kelly is the KE5FR. Japanese. Beautiful finish, flawless. I miss the binding, a lot, but the neck thru and the case are worth the acquisition.
The Rhoads, I really don't know the model, but it's also a Japanese one, bolt on, with case too. Both Japaneses came with Seymour Duncans, a JB and a Jazz. The Rhoads has a different bridge, I guess it's called LoPro.
What can I say? I wanted a King V for a long time, thanks to Dave Mustaine and Mile Petrozza from Kreator. The Kelly always comes in as an obsession, due to Marty Friedman and the "golden era" of Megadeth (RIP/Countdown). The Rhoads, come on, it's a Rhoads!!
The Japaneses are no longer in production, according to what I've learnt here at the forum, so last chance ever to have these models.
Happy as a child at Toys-r-us. But I'll miss sleeping in a bed, since my girl simply cannot get why have I taken THREE guitars (10 months ago I got a Gibson Flying V - to her it looks the same as the King V... women)
