I need to learn to read the Classified rules

man, I can't count all of the totally awesome guitars we've missed out on because someone who can't read the rules joins up solely to pitch their gear to the ravenous fanboys of the JCF. Knowing how insatiable for anything Jackson and Charvel related the appetite of the 200-odd active members of the forum is, selling stuff here is like shooting fish in a barrel. Just check out how quickly everything goes in the Classifieds! It is ridiculous to expect someone who hopes to profit from the membership of the JCF to be expected to follow a simple rule and maybe cough up the small subscription that the privilege of the Classifieds requires.
These hit-and-run seller are always selling items way cooler than anything the law-abiding members do. They sell the rarest, best playing, mintiest, most valuable instruments in the J/C Universe (tm) and these draconian rules are denying the membership a shot at owning of these one-of-a-kind jewels.0
You know that the only reason that any of these sellers come here is because it is so important to them that their beloved "best guitar I've ever owned" is delivered to the caring hands of a member of the J/C fraternity, someone who they know will take appropriate care of their baby, to keep it in the family. It's also a community service, because as everyone knows, the membership here rarely look at ebay or craiglist and would likely completely miss this guitar if it were listed there.Hail yesterday

These people aren't "keeping it in the family". They're hit-and-runners. They have no loyalty to us or interest in anything we do or have to say. The only thing they have in common is ownership of a Jackson guitar - and not for much longer. So they figure by coming here, they have such a slavishly devout group of fanboys here that we'll all be clamouring over each other to get a piece of their "RARE Pre Fender Sandimas Jackson. LOOK!!" guitar. I particularly like the ones that school us with some lifted-from-wiki Jackson history so we understand how desirable their guitar is.
I think Platinum membership is around $25(?) for a year. Not an unreasonable fee if you're dumping a $3k guitar. Cheaper than ebay fees. And maybe by putting some money down they might stick around and actually contribute to the forum a little bit.Hail yesterday
