measure nut to 12th fret and then double it. No need to factor in compensation

I love the duncan 59 set like in the dominion.
Nothing wrong with the dimarzio's but the 59's are so much clearer like someone took off a blanket from the speakers
if you play a high gain amp they work perfect since you can crank the gain and not mud out

Interestingly, I found the exact opposite when I replaced the '59 set that came in my SLS3 with the DiMarzio Dominion set. The DiMarzio's have much more clarity than the '59s did in my guitar.

I really like the 59's in mine. Funny this thread came up, I had pulled my Dominion out of the closet and played her or hours. I keep thinking I want to sell or trade this guitar 'cause the neck is a bit thick for me, then I play it and decide to keep her. Maybe I'll sand the neck down a smidge and see if that is the ticket. There are worse problems to have.

So I was considering a PRS S2 Custom 24 and then I thought, ok for the money what else is out there? The Dominion came up in the search - I especially like the coil splitting and am looking for that versatility. Does anyone know if Jackson will be updating the Dominion line next year? The first post of this thread had mentioned a vintage white custom option that they were thinking of releasing this year. Looks like that didn't happen. Any info on these would be appreciated.

Don't you know that randy Blythe is a murderer? Anything associated with LOG should be shunned.

                      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Umm, no, he's not. Not even close. Wasn't his fault that kid died, and he was acquitted of that ridiculous charge.

I think Tetsuo's comment was sarcasm.

Anyways, I'm pretty sure this model is no longer made as they were MIJ and the factory no longer exists. The D2 might still be around. And you could probably still order one from the USA CS. But any in the channel now would be NOS.

Maybe. Jackson does still show it on their site, but only in two colors; Wine Drunk and Old School Burst. Though, they have the OSB incorrectly named as Bourbon Burst.
Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

The one I own is actually Bourbon Burst, and I briefly put a Gibson TP-6 fine-tuning tailpiece on it.

I also saw this sweet string-thru 7-string somewhere online.

Hellbat, thanks - just what I was looking for.
Toejam - how do you like the guitar?
