New DK2M compared to the older ones: neck question

Hi all -

so I've been thinking about picking up one of the new DK2M but since I won't have a chance to play one beforehand, I had a question regarding the neck. I have played the older DK2M (sharkfin maple fingerboard) and it never grew on me; are the newer ones the same in regards to the neck?
