Jackson Adrian Smith Neck Pocket

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Would a charvel production model neck fit an adrian smith sdx body? Im assuming they are the same neck pocket?

I would think so, but I've heard stories about J/C's made in places other than MIJ and USA having less than a 2 1/4" pocket.

You are in luck - I take my SDX home to Cinci today, and I have a ProMod at home, but really you just need someone to measure the pocket to see if it's 2 1/4".

And even if it isn't, I've heard that you can sand a little here and a little there to make it fit. But I've not tried it myself.

I measured my necks yesterday. For my two examples, the MIJ ProMod neck was tiny bit wider than the Adrian Smith neck. Some sanding of the neck pocket might be needed to fit.
