one of my friends is left handed...he played a japanese burgundy stealth for a while...looked similar to that one but his had a much better trem on it...i dont think that trem in the auction is stock...that being said his seemed like a great guitar for the money (i think he gave 250 for it at the time)...

pickups are based on individual tastes...every one of us here could give you advice on pickups but the best thing you can do is seek out clips of guitars (well recorded clips i might add) to listen to the differences in tone...personally i like duncan customs...but i also like tone zones by dimarzio, a bunch of stock ibanez pickups and am probably gonna try a gravity storm soon as i like they way they are eq'd

good luck with your search for pickups and it may be worth your time to peruse craigslist and kijiji for your area as well...d.m.

I have a Stealth, says LT on the neck pocket. I don't know if that was an extra special, extra light version or something, as they are light enough anyway as there is nothing too them and they're basswood (Lime), but this one must of been made of balsa. Trem posts are twice as wide as they are supposed to be and although well made, no dispute, it's generally just shit by design. Jackson's answer to Ibanez IIRC at the time if you ask me. Epic Fail.

i wouldn't necessarily call it a fail...but...if i were to play one of those kinds of guitars...i'd go for the saber before the jackson...oh wait i already did as i own 2...and theyre both made of mahogany so while thin they can be a touch on the heavy side...d.m.

So I guess Ibanez won that battle then. I personally don't like guitars that fit like a tampon. But that said, those Ibanez look ok, especially given the mahogany factor. Stealth's were just way too light and the rapier's preceded them by some 3-5 odd years and sound like a better thought out instrument.

Honestly for that price and what you`re looking at I would scrap the Stealth completely and and get an Ibanez S series... very similar feel... but with better pick-ups and the ZR trem is bullet proof. They also generally run around the $300 mark used. I love my Jacksons but the Ibanez S series kills the stealth in every way (Mahogany body, ZR trem, Ibanez Infinty pick-ups, the ZPS system which makes for easier string changes and set-ups, killer wizard 2 necks, and the thinnest most comfortable bodies on the planet). If you have your heart set on a Jackson. The DK2 is the way to go, passive Seymour Duncans, 24frets, JT580-LP trem, bound neck and headstock, and sharky inlays..... But if you like the thin Stealth body do yourself a favour and check out the Ibanez S470L. Please don`t lynch me for promoting an Ibanez over a Jackson guys lol, I love both and own both lol.
