  • Jackson Stars RR-J2E

Hey people. I recently got this 2006 RR-J2E, cleaned it up, fixed a high nut issue, changed the slanted pickup rings out for flat (unmatched) rings, 18 volt modded it and gave it a setup. This thing goes hard - the only other Jackson I owned was a COW 7 which I naturalised and chiseled out a neck pickup cavity. It played immaculately, and this isn't far off. My first RR, that's for sure. All I can say is it's a killer guitar, and can only imagine how much better (IMO) it'll sound with hot passives.

    And some distorted steinberg-esque shots.

Cheers! Hopefully you'll see more of me over here.

Oh wow, that is superb. I'd leave the EMGs in but that's just me.

Fretwork looks top-notch! You really can't go wrong with a black Rhoads with EMGs.

Nice, but are you certain it's a J2-E? I thought they dropped the Rhoads to 22 frets right around the time they changed to the J1/J2 model designation?

Yes, it's a J2. I have one just like this, except for the bridge.

I know the J2 specs, but I thought they dropped it to 22 frets when it changed from the 160/170 model spec to the Jx spec?
