Played a blue one and it was Ok but not worth buying.
Love the off set dots and the looks of the guitar but thats about it.
To be brutally honest I like the made in China ATL soloist better.

I miss the Blonde headstock, think it looked sharper then matching the body, but thats just me though.

Not saying its a bad guitar by any means and is a good platform to mod and change parts here and there.
My AS/SDX was a fair guitar right off the shelf but the mods I made to it turned it into a very very good guitar and I'd stack it up against anything.

Love my MIJ white DK2M, ca. 2011. Absolutely great gtr,
real Duncan PUPs, shrkfin inlays, flawless fit and finish.
Plays and sounds great. Absolute equal of my USA
Strat. They had a great guitar; why tamper with such a
          good thing?

Yeah, the new dk2m's don't tickle my twinkie, so to speak... Except for the chlorine burst. I'm a sucker for that one, but I like the look of the old dk2m's better. I have a white bengal dk2m and it's just a killer guitar. It has flawless playability, looks and tone. They should have kept that series around longer.

Correction - the original DK2M should've remained on the production line indefinitely

Yeah, it would be great if they were more like the Japanese one. But can you imagine if the Mexican ones were basically identical? All the ebay adds would be labelling them as "Pre-Mexico"...
                I like maple fretboards. :P

Didn't Fender used to use a 3-bolt system on some Strats way back?

Yes, but it had 2 bolts up front and 1 in the rear.

I got the Chlorine burst. Very happy with the way it plays. I did spend a few extra
                        time on dressing the frets.

I have one of 05-06? Blue Bengal DK2M's. Looks great, but I always seem to have to fight it while playing it. Guess it is just because I am used to the SL2H. Once spoiled, never satisfied with less. Now I have an old DKMGT, cobalt blue, that I just put a new tone pros on and gotoh tuners, it is wonderful. One of these days I need to find a SL2T to trade my H for and all will be perfect. First world problems and all.

Very dissapointed in the whole 2013 line. The all look first act to me. Crazy how I used to scoff at the mij professionals back in the day and now long to get a hold of as many pre Fender Jackson's as I can. Fender is ruining the Charvel/Jackson name, they get cheaper every year. The 3 bolt thing is rip off of Tom Anderson, but I really can't say anything because I have not played one yet. I think Fender limits Jackson and Charvel and gives them unskilled labor to work with etc... To make sure Jackson doesn't cut into their bottom line. My 2 cents for what it's worth.

They need to drop the top body scallops down to One. For starters.
Piranha inlays would have been much more "ballsy" looking on the maple and binding. And a reverse headstock model would have boosted interest in my opinion. The colors would look better with one less scallop. And to have an alumiloid sharky HSS model would have rocked. That has been a staple of Jackson imports since the beginning.
We can forgive the new neck joints and move on better with those fixes.
Jackson is at least trying to improve still. But Marketing missed something in their research.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

Wait, so changing the trem cavity to fit a better trem (and and OFR if you choose to upgrade) and making the neck joint more ergonomic are bad things?
