          Didnt the SLSMG have the small inlays? I think they were called shark tooth inlays.

                The smaller inlays are Piranha tooth, these are Sharkies.

                I'm sure the DXMG only ever had the 'reverse pointy inline 6 traditional hockey stick kick ass best ever made by Jackson, or anyone else for that matter' headstock

                    yeah, looks like a DXMGT. I wouldnt do 250 unless it came with HSC. even then...

                      There were some JS and X series guitars in the early 2000's with headstocks like that but I don't know the models.
                      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

                            I've got one at my store selling for $300 at a loss because some dumbass bought it in as an SLSMG, and paid accordingly.
