  • NGD - something I've wanted for ages!

..I've wanted one of these for years, and thanks to Jonnyryche I finally have one!

Back in the early 90s I would spend hours looking over the few Jackson catalogues I had, and these stone finish maple board dinkys were always a favourite, possibly in part because they were closer to my budget than all the fancy stuff on the back pages LOL Direct mounted pickups, rev head and a maple board? What's not to love right?

It's pretty much in mint condition, with just a little bit of 'staining' on the edge of the treble side of the fingerboard, which is pretty good for any 20 year old guitar, never mind a fairly low end one which generally seem more likely to have taken a beating. It's one of the cheapest guitars I've ever bought, which came close after one of the most expensive! (the Suhr Reb Beach). Oh, and when I took it apart to clean it, I checked the bridge pickup and it's been upgraded to a Dimarzio PAF Pro, so that was a nice surprise..

Thanks to John for helping me out (yet again!) in getting this

P.S. I don't think I've ever posted in the import section before LOL

I figured that one would clean up really nice. Glad I could help out.

          Congrats! HNGD! Cool finish.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

Congrats! I love those with the Maple. I have owned a few.
I have the one my wife bought me. The others found homes a while back.
I am hankering for another one or two....or

I've had one with a maple board and one with a rosewood board and both were killer!!
Very little paint on these and very little primer underneath and no clear coat. These ring out and wail.
Mine saw plenty of stage time and sounded fantastic.
One of the best early to mid 90's import Jacksons of all time IMO.
If you ever want to move that one let me have first crack at it.@ you can put the stock pick up back in it.
