My transformed SLH Jackson!

Scored a super cheap India Soloist a few weeks ago for $250 and finally had some time today to tweak it and really make something of it.

Dumped the horrible EMG HZ pickups and replaced them with a Dimarzio Evolution in the neck and my all time fav Super 3 in the bridge.

Added a Brass Big Block from Adam Reiver at FU Tone.com and threw on some D'Addarrio 13-56's.

Sounds and plays just killer!

I have one too, and ditching those EMG's was the first priority.

This was the first time that I tried an Evolution and I am very impressed! Great warmth and yet clarity for a neck pup. The brass block gave some more presence to the basswood neck thru and it certainly needed it.

This Jackson is much more "alive" now after these mods and is a pleasure to play.
