I have no intentions on buying one of these as I've got plenty and just no need for a low end guitar... However while in GC today, I saw a matte black JS22 on the wall so I said what the hell and picked it up. Wow! Acoustically it sounds great, fit and finish believe it or not was GREAT. Binding work was nice and even, very tight grained dark rosewood board, and it played pretty damn good to boot. I looked it over good trying to find a defect and couldn't find anything. The fretwork wasn't bad though it needed some relief in the neck. I didn't plug it in as I was in a hurry, but for $199 these have to be the best bang for the buck out there, hands down. Im really surprised as well that they're made in CHINA, NOT India. Im not a big fan of China, but every Indian guitar Ive seen/tried has flat out sucked. Chineese are hit and miss but IMO, more consistent than India.
