My 93' King V STD is playing great after dropping an OFR in it and getting some fret work done, but it sounds a little weak. Thinking it could be the pick up, I pulled it out and it is unmarked on the bottom? Has no markings at all. Could it be a cheap pick up that the guy installed when he traded it? Its definatley isn't stock because it has no Jackson logo in the corner. Was thinking of replacing it for Jackson pick up, which one (if any) would you guys recommend? Was thinking a J90 or J90C, because its high output and I mainly play thrash metal. And almost forgot would the old school black covered ones fit the route on the guitar?

yeah that sucks,
Unfortunately the oversized pickups may not fit as the pickup bezels are bigger, you mayh be able to add the oversized bezels, but im not sure if you'll need to rout to install a J90C for instance
If you want a J90C, look for one of the older uncovered units that are standard size, these should be fairly easy to find as they were in heaps of model series guitars in '86
