Nah, 2005-06. The black was introduced around '06. The only way to be 100% sure is by removing the neck and checking the date stamps on the neck heel/neck pocket. Numbers can be inconsistent.

Thanks for this info too! My DK2 skulls has black hardware. Black makes them look like machines, not a fan of the chrome hardware at all.

Well...
1. depends on which one you got. but as mentioned, the jackson case adds to the total price. and may even increase value because of the illusion that the original owner wasn't a cheapskate and probably got the case to protect his instrument.
2. the fact that it is hard to get in your area will raise the price. So, while I may have paid $300 for it, $400 is fair for you.
3. condition condition condition. hardware. upgrades. etc.
