  • Jackson professional Stealth

    Hi Guys.

I need some help identifying my Jackson Stealth to figure out which model it is.

I've been using this site for reference http://audiozone.dk/index-filer/jack...ofessional.php

What I know about the guitar. It's a Jackson Stealth professional.

Serial number is 6-digits and starts with 92****. Which I think means that it was built -92
I dont have a pic of the guitar atm, but the color is the same as here http://www.tibiuccio.it/img/jackFusPro1.jpg

As far as I can tell the bridge is JT-590, and non-painted silver in color. Made by Schaller.

    The pickups are J90C and 2x J100S.

The trussrod cover is not blank, but there's 'tribe' engraved on it. Not the model as there is in the models built later on.

I cant tell if the fingerb. is rosewood or ebony

    Hope you guys can help.

    Anyone?

The bridge in pickups might suggest that it's the pro model, but the pickups aren't what it says on that site they should be and don't actually fit with any of models. And the 'tribe' engraved on the truss rod cover I havent found anything on. I've been thinking about selling that guitar but not being sure which model it is kinda makes it hard to figure out where it lies price wise. Any help is appreciated.

The truss cover was probably put there by a previous owner. The serial indicates '92, but a chrome tremolo instead of black seems wrong to me. The JT590 tremolo was only offered on the Pro model with an ebony fingerboard to my knowledge.

I can only suggest getting a pic or two of the guitar and posting them.
      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Pics? I had a Stealth and it came with black hardware as I recall. I don't think it was made by Schaller though. Maybe someone replaced the truss cover and the trem?

Here's the one I had (on the left...)

Looking at those pics...I don't even think I ever noticed the Stealth only had 22 frets! Probably one of the reasons I never bonded with it lmao!

                .
Ditto, it just felt too small from what I remember and the contoured body made it worse. Other than that it was a great guitar.

I think it might be a Jackson Stealth Professional LT. I have the similiar from 92' with J90C humbucker and 2xJ100 single coils.
                  Here it is:

To be sure, best option will be unscrew the neck.

The chrome JT590? is the strange part. Could be a mutt, or the trem isn't a JT590, or something else. Could well be a Stealth with a swapped tremolo.

You could post pics or remove the neck and check the stamps.

In Stealth series, only Stealth Pro had JT590 bridge (but it was black). Pro had also MOP logo and offset dot inlays (not white) and ebony fingerboard. I think in Your guitar bridge was replaced (in Professionals chrome hardware was not installed anyway).

EDIT: Stealth PRO's are very very rare, because they are produced only in 92' (by Jackson Catalogues)
