    Thanks!

No the strap button was always offset on those MIJ versions actually to mimic Phil's original USA design.

The work was all done by Dan Lawrence and DRL Graphics in Glendora CA and its simply stunning in person and plays like a dream too!

I asked him to remove the finish from the back of the neck as shown, countersink the control plate given that the factory just screws them on top, fill in the holes from the trem plate as I never install those and finally mod the headstock to say only Jackson.

And of course refinish it in a sparkle silver like the one Phil played at the Mercury Concert in 1992

Are those Duncan pickups stock? I assumed that they all came with Jackson pickups no?

Everyone knows the history behind the rounded over tip on the headstock right?

Wow sounds like a shit load of mods you've got there! Love the idea of the countersunk cavity plate. Have to say it looks really clumsy now with the plate sitting over the body.

The previous owner swapped the pickups. The tb-6 sounds really good. Will be putting in a brass block to the Floyd.

Haha the rounded tip is definitely a bonus feature for me lol was it only done on the mij and early usa versions? And any idea why jackson stopped doing it now?

The rounded tip was a direct request from Phil Collen to Grover Jackson for pretty much ALL of his guitars as he did not want to poke Steve Clark while playing live. Now they do all of his Jackson's like that to the point that our Custom Shop run was denied that cool and unique feature!

I for one have NEVER seen a USA version (other than Phil's own guitars) with that rounded tip unless we go back to the mid 80's prototypes. But I could be wrong!

And yes the Brass Big Block from Adam Reiver at FU-Tone.com is a HUGE improvement trust me!! Mine now have a Dimarzio Super 3 as well as a Fast Track at the neck.

Didn't know about the headstock tips. Pretty cool.
