So Wednesday, a guy comes into the shop where I work asking if we wanted to buy his guitar. He pops the case and in it lies the grubbiest guitar I've seen in awhile. It's a Japanese Dinky, with EMG's, and a a fretboard that is BLACK with grime. The frets were BROWN. No strings, missing two knobs, cracked pickup ring, and just generally dirty. The shop takes a pass, but I said if he didn't sell it that day elsewhere, to give me a call because I might want it as a project.

Flash forward to today, and she came home with me. Again, dirty, stringless, missing a few parts, but on the bright side, in a Jackson HSC, had the trem arm, and some assorted parts, and both the EMG's and the original pickups. It was dirt cheap so....

Anyway....here she is. I strung her up, tossed some knobs I had laying around on her, and will start looking for the parts I need (locking pads, pickup rings, and correct knobs). Any leads would be appreciated!

A Jackson to keep my Charvel company.....

                  Update-
Well after two unsuccessful attempts at locally sourcing the proper locking nuts for this guitar, I took to the Interwebz, and ordered them. They arrived, I strung the guitar, changed the batteries, and lo and behold, it LIVES!

Plays pretty well too. Here's some pix....

Thanks to all who answered my questions, and remember...
