NPGD: I was right the buying a Rhoads started a trend

I have been wanting to try a King V for awhile now and I found a KV5FR for a decent price so I picked it up. The low strings (E,A,D) seem to be muddy and darker than what I am used to from my other guitars. Could something be wrong with the guitar or could it be just crappy dead strings?



Nothing special just a black pointy guitar.

I always do fresh strings and a setup as soon as I receive a new/used guitar. I'd start there first. Hngd

+1....and add to that a simple oiling of the board and a little fret polish and you are good to go .

I do that as part of my new strings and setup ... but not everybody appreciates board oil and fret polish , hence one Scott Grove or Groovey (whatever) ... I always get a good laugh watch'n his youtube vids though, especially when he goes off about Guitar Center techs being Walmart employees the week before they became guitar center techs lol!

I think I'm going to swap in a set of Lundgren M6s and a brass block for the Floyd.
