Help wanted identifying a 97 made in Japan Jackson

Hi

I'm trying to get some more info on this guitar, model, etc. It belongs to a student so I'm just doing a little research for them. I've read the FAQ on serial numbers and based on that think it's a '97, beyond that and the fact it was made in Japan I have no idea.

That's a 2003ish WRXT. Alder body, Duncan Designed Detonator pups and a JT580LP tremolo.

edit: Some 1997 models had a 97xxxxx serial, but for the most part those numbers mean 2003ish-2007ish. The WRXT wasn't available until the early 2000's.

Yep, WRXT. They arrived in 2001. They originally had black hardware and the JT500 tremolo.
