MIJ king V spotted in local shop

Ive spotted a MIJ King V in a local second hand shop,its in good condition bar a little ding out of the bottom wing,im tempted but would like to know an experts opinion on it.
The serial number is 9858149.

Can't tell much with a serial other than: made in Japan 1998 or 2011ish...and that's assuming the neck/serial number is original and hasn't been swapped.


How about a pic?
Or, a detailed description. Inlay type, control layout, hardware colour, # of frets, pup configuration and brand. The more detailed the better.

Hi thanks for the reply and info,is a blue sunburst and has the passive duncan pickups.will have another look tomorrow and post some pics and info.

Blue sunburst King V? I'm thinking mid-2000s X series (KVX10).
