I remember everyone waiting to find out where the Morton would be made after Japan, and after hearing it would be Mexico, I do remember wondering to myself 'are there any Mexican made Fender neck thrus?' So I guess there aren't.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

      2. I guess that means there aren't any Soloists coming out of Mexico either.

But since we aren't working in or spying on the factory, we don't know if they are all like that or if it is only some of the models that are like that. I have plenty of units that are actual neck thrus - but they are all older units. I don't own any newer ones to check.
Right, in fact we don't know how Wildwood and Samick make their neck-thrus in Indonesia. From pics it looks like they could very well be full neck-thrus. This is a three-piece neck from Wildwood. Samicks aren't three piece and they use a scarf joint.

You were whining about not being able to get USA-quality at import prices.

No, I was saying that I trust any person of any ethnicity, only that my two options are low-mid to high, instead of low, mid, mid-high and then high like before. In other words due to $$, I can't imagine an Indo Dominion holding up the same handywork as say my higher-end Mexico Fender, which is mid if you may.
Thank you for your kind tone Newc.

No, you were complaining that workers who are certainly qualified to build a guitar of high quality are being ordered not to by the evil USA corporation who does not want to produce such a high quality import model that you do not yearn for a much better and much more expensive USA model. There's a very good reason for this: because it would mean the evil USA corporate devil would quickly go out of business.
