    Hey everyone,

Firstly this is a sweet forum, nice to see all the Jackson & Charvel fans out there.

So, i was wondering if anyone could help me ID this guitar.

So far i've figured it by the serial number (begins with 96) that it was made in Japan in 1996.

Does anyone know what exact model it is?

H-S-H Pickup configuration. Not all original pickups in it though. Bridge pickup is ESP, middle is Jackson, Neck is Dizmario.

The rest i guess you can see from the photo!

Welcome to the forum, one of these mad Jackson specialists will be with you shortly, just remain on the line, oh and Bridge pickup says EMG-HZ on it, they are passive.....like most guitar pickups, they don't require a battery, people didn't give great reviews of that pickup. If you swap em out I'd recommend the 81/85 humbucking set. Emg offers some single coils for that middle as well. Un-bolt the neck at the next string change and look on the heel of the neck & in the pocket for any numbers or letters, take a picture and upload it in this thread like you did that one, that will help with identifying the guitar. You can also look through the 1996 Jackson Catalogs and see if you can spot yours. Let us know if you figure it out.

      I'm doubtful it's a '96 since there's no 'Professional' logo on the headstock. A 96xxxxx (7 digits) number usually doesn't mean 1996. On the other hand, 96xxxx (6 digits) does mean 1996.

I have no idea what that is. What's the serial?
Looks like a DX2 or PS4 body with a neck swap, but the JT580LP tremolo is wrong for both models.

If it's a Japanese made model there should be date/model stamps in the neck pocket if you remove the neck.
      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Not sure if it's a DX2 body... the DX2 didn't have the carve out on the lower horn.
That was normally reserved for solid color guitars.
Neck was definitely made after 1997 since it lacks the "Professional" logo.
Pull the neck off... body model should be stamped in the neck pocket.

Oh, yeah...forgot about the lower horn bevel.
I was just running on memory.
          ...which is generally ill-advised.

I kinda' thought it looked like it had an arch top.
Anyway, here's an old thread saying they weren't released in North America which would explain why some of us aren't familiar with them.

As for price, in good condition, $3-350 USD used... same as many Japanese made models can be had for in North America.
