For that price I can see the Rhoads hanging on my wall in the near future.

Hmmm... must put an OFR on it too.
The short scale might make that an adventure though!

Plays ok as far as I can tell.
Tuning can be a bit wayward but that's probably a combination of the light strings, short scale, and small neck.
It's cool to have around, for a smaller guitarist or as an office/couch/wall hanger instrument, but if it was a choice between it's not a substitute for any of my proper instruments.

Why can't anyone put a Floyd in it?

Because these are the small versions. A Floyd would be mismatched in terms of string angle.

That's why God gave us routers and saddle shims.

Well God should've built these, then they would already have floyds on them

I am not talking about the radius or action.

While I don't have the specs of the neck, I would assume that a 2/3 sized guitar would also be not as wide in the neck as a full sized guitar.
So, I am assuming that a full sized bridge would have strings falling off the edges.

I could be way off with what Jackson is doing. I am basing this on every kid guitar that ever came through our stores. They weren't short-scale, which is simply a shorter neck. They were 3/4 sized and even 1/2 sized, meaning everything was miniaturized.

They come with a 1 5/8" (41.3mm) nut width, which means an R2 nut will fit on there just fine.

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

Nut width is one thing, but bridge string spacing is another. I'm assuming the heel is 2 3/4" wide, which would work for a Floyd, but if it's only 2", there will be issues.

As well, the intonation will already be off as you go up the neck due to the scale, but these are intended for children, so it's good enough without a Floyd IMO. Once they get older and bigger, moving them up to a full-size Floyded Jackson will be easy.
