      I used to think that about Jackson's whole first try at 7 strings until I went back and played some of them again. I've played 3 DR7s that have been quite good, all from different years - the aging seems to have done them a lot of good. I haven't seen an RR7R in person in about ten years, but I'll bet they've aged as well as the DKs.

          I have a DR7R that I picked up for $75. Honestly the neck is awesome. It is a bit fugly with the fins looking wrong to me but the guitar is rock solid. The Duncan designed are shite and I need to upgrade that the tuners but there is nothing wrong with the guitar at all as far as playability.
