So after 16 years of owning a Jackson guitar I finally decided to sign up on a Jackson forum. I have a 2000 Jackson KS2 made in Japan. It's black with a Jackson Floyd Rose, reverse headstock and 2 Seymour Design HBs. I've been trying to find info on this guitar for a while now with no luck. Basically the type of HBs used and any other info. What I have found is it seems to be an alder body with a mahogany top and rosewood fretboard.

Pics to come shortly. I am the original owner of this guitar and she is in excellent condition. I was 18 when I got this guitar as a Christmas gift so I don't have any of the paperwork naturally. Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome... KS2 Kelly Star... rare guitar. The Japanese version was only made for one year if I recall correctly.
Pickups should be Duncan Design HB102B and HB101N (Basically JB and '59 copies)

Not sure in the body wood.

Welcome to the forum. The body is either alder or poplar, I can't recall offhand. The cheaper KSXT was in the 2001 catalog, and I think the KS2 was in the 2000 catalog.

Yes Sir it was in '00 catalog. On Jackson's site, I pulled up that catalog found it under the Rhoads section. When I was 18, I thought it was a RR variant and asked for it for Xmas. Lo and behold, I got my wish that year.

I have seen around the internet that it is indeed rare. Only produced one year. At times, I consider selling it as I am older and personally feel it's a bit too extreme looking for me now.

Gorgeous model. Now that's something they should bring back instead of focusing on generic copies of other brands.
