  • I'm Oblivous is this an AT1?

Hey everyone! My husbands father passed away a couple years ago, he had a band in Guam for roughly 20 years, when he passed we inherited all of the instruments and equipment. Recently a gentlemen at our garage sale noticed one of the guitars (it was NOT out for sale) he offered to buy it. We did not feel comfortable selling it because both my husband and myself, know very very little about guitars and are unsure we would even want to part with it. If anyone here can help me out and maybe tell me what I'm dealing with, any and all detail about this guitar would be incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance!!!

Close, but that's the Japanese made AT2T. The serial indicates '96.
They only appear in the '97 catalogue and aren't seen terribly often. http://support.jacksonguitars.com/ca...97_catalog.pdf

The AT1 and AT1T are the USA made versions.
    96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
