(facepalm)
I posted this thread a few days ago : http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/150...DK2m-with-EMGs and now I have found another guy in my city who is sitting on a 1992-95 Fusion HH Professional and it's a Mahogany one.
So, I am here to ask for opinions. I already have:
92-95 Dinky Reverse Professional with maple finger board
92-95 Dinky Reverse with rosewood board
201X DK2 Blue Orange Flames (Duncan Design PU era)
89-91 Charvel Fusion Deluxe
86 Charvel Model 3
(I've also got a JJ4, the Kreator King V, Jap So-Cal 1, a fixed Bridge Charvel Surfcaster, but that's beside the point).
The idea is to pickup one of these guitars, tune it to drop C and play it in my band as a backup/counter part to my "Les Paul" and my Charvel Model 3.
The Fusion HH is going for €450 with a decent plywood "bathtub" case, I've played the guitar, there's nothing wrong with it by the looks of things except maybe a scratchy jack socket. The seller was originally asking for €600 with case and then re-advertised at €550. I told him this was too much and €400 was my limit plus €50 for the case and he's interested - was that too high? (I got a Dinky Rev for €250 2 years ago).
The alternative is to go and talk to the other seller who is selling a Japanese era DK2M that has had the Duncans swapped for EMGs (see other thread). This is going for a steal at €250.
So, same factory, different eras, 2 quality examples of Jackson imports. What do you guys think, grab the more expensive Fusion because it's a Professional, it's pretty rare and a little bit different OR snag the DK2M if I can because it's a steal.
