Thanks mate I will.....although I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of guitar shops here before I list it as the market value here seems to be a lot different to the US and hopefully would get more cash here or over the east coast.

I love the color and the guitar and really don't want to part with it as Iv'e had it for 25 years now but debt is rising so no choice :/

It probably doesn't affect the value but the word on the street is that the Reflux pickups suck balls.

I learned a long time ago that "the street" is full of uneducated people talking crap about things they know nothing about in a vein attempt to impress people who they think don't know better. After every show I played with this guitar people always came up to me and told me how awesome my sound was.....that wouldn't happen if my pickups "sucked balls".
You might want to move to a different street.

        And it's Reflex not Reflux.

Same here. Mine is one of the last '95 Rhoads Pros produced. It's of the same build quality as my RR1 (USA) from the same era. As for value, I've noticed guitars are hugely over-priced in Australia, probably something to do with shipping and taxes there. Same thing happens here in NZ but to a lesser extent I think. I got mine second hand but fuck, I can't remember what I paid. I know I paid over the odds for a Rhoads Pro STD (not a sexually transmitted disease) in average condition because I had to have it and you never see them locally. So it's hard to judge values down under. Is this for insurance purposes or selling?

              Selling
Guitars are definitely hugely over-priced here in Australia.....especially here in Perth. When I bought my first DBZ Bird of prey in 2012 it sold here for $2200 but I picked mine up from the US for $750(inc shipping) new. Not only are there import prices to Australia, but then transport costs from Sydney to Perth(when buying retail here).
As mentioned earlier, Billy Hydes music shop here in Perth valued the body at $8000-$10,000 replacement value for insurance about 9 years ago.

It's worth whatever someone is prepared to pay. Obviously local market conditions (e.g. scarcity due to exorbitant shipping costs & tax) affects that too. I'd list it for a dollar on ebay with a high reserve and see how the bidding goes...

I assure you, he meant "reflux".

"Vain" not "vein" while we're on that road.

As far as uneducated people- look man, that's you. You came here for information on your guitar, and most of what you got was exceptionally positive.

A guy shared his understanding that the pickups in it "sucked balls". Could very well be that they do. Could very well be why they're so uncommon in jacksons- because they had big, sweaty, hairy balls, in their mouths, at all times.

Even during the gigs where you got all the panties thrown at you.

You're SELLING the guitar. You asked for some advice and some information. He didn't go looking for you. Not like he insulted your child.

And yes, I am his representative.

Yes I did come here uneducated about my guitar and yes the most of what I got was exceptionally positive and very helpful and I am very thankful to the people who have helped. That is why I came here, as I knew I would be dealing with people who knew what they were talking about through their education and experience on the matter, and yes he didn't go looking for me.....and I didn't go looking for him either. If I wanted hearsay from the street then I would have gone to the street not here.

This is the street for Jackson. He's probably forgotten more about Jackson than a lot of us know- and given the retarded and, dare I say embarrassing number of posts he's made over the last 10 years he better.

Alright fella best of luck with your troubles. Hope the domestic market works out for you.

I have an ´92 Soloist Professional Pro and it had Reflex pickups and a midboost circuit when I got it (bought it used few years ago). My opinion is that those pickups do not sound very good and thats why I replaced them with EMG81-SA-SA set.

Reflex PUs were made in the UK, perhaps they had some kind of special deal with Jackson and thats why 1991/1992 Professional Pros sold in UK had them?

Find some other site to get info so you can monetize your listing and take your junk elsewhere.

You're just some random idiot. "My guitar sound so great" But you're fucking selling it. LOL If you had known any better you'd realize that your pickups indeed are garbage otherwise.. wow, everyone would want them.

It may make your guitar 'more rare' but it adds no value, perhaps makes them less desirable since MIJ Jacksons of that era usually did ship with decent pickups.

Good grief. Dude it's a sweet guitar. What difference does it make what anybody says about the pickups? It probably sounds like a toilet flush when you plug it in, but you are selling it. In the listing say those pickups frickin RIP! LOL! (What they really do is rip greasy tone farts, but that can be your little secret.) If the buyer ends up complaining about the shitty tone, tell him to buy a new amp.

Felisha? I'm assuming that's an American insult?

All I wanted from this site was some helpful info on my guitar to find an accurate value....but of course I knew eventually that some sad sack living in his mom's basement would vent his sexual frustrations and be a dick for the sake of being a dick to someone who actually lives in the real world.

I will leave you to rule over your fake kingdom.

All that aside, I would like to express my appreciation to the people who actually gave me helpful information in a respectful way, thank you.
