any idea on the original sticker price?

Firstly, I was wrong earlier. According to what little is available for info those had a 65xxxxxx serial on the headstock indicating Taiwan. The year would be circa '95, but I've seen reports of those serials being on '96-7's as well. There's no info I'm aware of that decodes those numbers, but they were from that '95-7 range.
I could only guesstimate the original price being $400 give or take a little.
