  • Jackson DX6

    Hey what's up guys.
I've got one guy offering me deal with Japanese Jackson DX6, and there's not a lot of info on that guitar in the net. Could you please tell me anything 'bout that guitar? Specs, some info on origins, maybe some proofs that can help differ the fake from real.
Btw, the serial number seems kinda ok

I dunno, but I'd already say legit. I'm sure someone will come in to provide more info.

Probably legit. If you want a string through and dont mind the headstock or lack of sharkies. Im thinking it was a cheaper offering of that era? Ive got a dxmgt which is similar looking. I dont see why someone would try to scam on a lower end model.

I really like string through and don't mind the headstock and the sharkies. Still, the price is about 500$ for exchange, and that's what is confusing me

Poplar body, flamed maple top in case of trans finishes
          JT390 bridge
          22 frets/25.5 scale
          Duncan Designed pickups
          Around 2001-2002

In my opinion, 500 is a bit high

Serial suggests 2001. A pic of the guitar would be helpful in determining if it's original and legit.
$500 is way high by North American standards...probably about what it sold for new.
            96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

I dont know where do people come up with these prices. 500 is way overpriced.

I think that one is made in India. Wide spaced 12th fret dots.

Yeah, there are a few differences. Also the scooped heel as opposed to the angled heel. They are different guitars but labeled as the same.
