She arrived 2 days ago and I've been working nights so haven't had much time to play... but she's a beauty. Coming from Gibson Les Paul's primarily, I didn't really know what to expect. As post in another thread, I was worried about quality... The worries were completely unfounded. The fretboard is dark and smooth, the frets are smooth and the neck is straight. The pickups were way too low for my taste and raising them fixed them right up. I'll post more pics tomorrow. But I'm a very satisfied customer.
I was worried about positioning comfort and neck dive... neither fear is a reality. Extremely comfortably to hold and play. No neck dive at all. She's a joy to play. Will f/u with some pictures and some audio once I have changed out the pickups to the Hot Rodded set.
That does look great. Is the board as dark as the pic suggests?
I know I've seen some rosewood on JS and X Series that's so dark it looks stained to ebony.

It's not as dark as the lighting in the picture makes it seem. It's a chocolate color and very comfortable feeling. I'm sure with some lemon oil it will be even darker.
So I finally had time to install the Hot Rodded PUPs. I love the sound of this guitar... My Gibsons are resting in their coffins and not nearby. But the Wicked Sisters are presented here.
You have to host them at a hosting site. Then in the toolbar select the picture icon, enter the url, and it should show up in your post. Your dropbox links dont work for this for some reason.
