The stock pickups were pretty good, however I changed them. I have a DiMarzio Evo in the bridge and an HS-2 in the neck. I ditched the middle pickup when I did a pickup swap.
Mine is modified a lot. I swapped all the black hardware for chrome and had a new pickguard made.
Dude I love what you have done to this. Great job!

Thanasis, dont worry about the floyd, its an awesome system but you will have to give it a chance/time to get use to it. My favorite setup is top mount. The neck is slightly angled and it just feels right to me sitting alittle higher with my palm.

oh and here is a good video for tuning it.

https://store.metalmethod.com/doug-marks/ - This is a trick for tuning a Floyd Rose. It may end the frustrating experience you have every time you attempt ...

Somehow missed this if you posted it before. I'm totally digging that!

Who made the pick guard for you?

Here's my original post about it...

            Chandler Music made the pickguard.
It's a So-Cal pickguard. I had them ship it to me without the screw holes drilled out and then used the SDX pickguard as a template for the screw holes.
Turns out it wasn't necessary. A friend of mine has a So-Cal and when I put the SDX guard against his So-Cal, the holes lined up.

Going to add my voice to don’t fear the Floyd. It only gets maybe a little more labor intensive when you switch gauges. Once the guitar is set up for a particular tension even switching string brands takes little to no adjustment.

I change one string at a time usually and only take them all off occasionally if the guitar is getting particularly funky for cleaning. Makes it much faster.

Those are really cool mods for an SDX. Was thinking about swapping the black pickguard for a white one. Thanks for the heads up about the SoCal pickguard working on this!
