  • Rhoads Pro unmarked pickups and truss cover

Anyone ever see one of these?
Tuners are 6 inline, non reverse and chrome
    22 fret neck
    Dot inlays
    1 volume (chrome)
    3 way selector (chrome?)
    Non branded/named pickups
    Jackson professional on headstock
No model on truss rod cover
    Jackson licenced tremolo

    Is this a mutt?
From what I'm gathering so far they stopped putting g professional on the headstocks in 98 some time.
But they maintained black hardware until 2002ish?

Is there a serial number on the neck plate?
It sounds like a Rhodes EX Model.
I have one just like it.

It should have a serial on the neck plate, starting with a 9.
The pickups often lose their "Jackson" logo over time.
I have half a Jackson logo on the pickups on my Rhodes Ex.

The truss rod cover sounds like a potential after market piece, to replace the original.

Great little guitars.... I love mine!
Trashed a bit, but plays and sounds awesome!

I thought rhoads ex as well but the truss cover and pickups are messing with me.
Far as I can tell thr Rhoads ex wasn't made prior to 91 when the covers were blank
And the pickups having no writing or brand.

        A pic would be helpful.
        Any serial?
        96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.

Serial is 6 digits starting with a 7?
            701xxx
What's that mean? I'm lost now.

            1997 Rhoads? Model?
I read something about the KV2 being Mij in 97 and having a 6 digit serial starting with 7.
Possible for the Rhoads model as well or?

The serial is for '97 MIJ, but I expect something on the guitar isn't original. A pic will determine.

My Rhodes EX has all black hardware.
                  Yours is all chromed out.
Looks good, and to be in decent condition.... which has me wondering why the Jackson logos would be missing on the pickups.
                  Must be aftermarket.
My 92 King V still has perfect logos on the pickups.
Could be a Frankenstein.... but if it plays and feels good..... I would be happy.

It's not my personal guitar, a guy approached me in hopes that I might know more about it and could identify it.

I've been researching Jackson imports non stop since I picked mine back up and started playing.
I started here asking questions and googling so I figured here might be a hood place to talk about this one as well as it has me confused a bit.

Looks like an RX10D with a swapped neck to me.
