  • Jackson DK-3

I can't find much information on the DK-3, the s/n is 9694144. It seems the first 2 digits are the year, I looked in the 96 and 97 catalogs but didn't see. Can someone point me where I could find more info about the DK-3 and how to decipher the s/n. I can't even find a review?? Please

Japanese-made because of the 7-digit serial number that starts with 9. First two digits do not correspond to the year on these. Essentially the DK3 was an HSH pickup version of the 2000s Pro Series DK2. It was only offered in 2000. These were a rather uncommon model (compared with the DK2 which was very plentiful; and even the DK2S, DK2FS, and DK2FF can be found a little bit easier than the DK3). Not to be confused with the current generation DK3 which is Mexican and has HSS pickups.

Kinda' surprised by the 2002-3 serial, but then again, not surprised.
Serials aren't exactly perfect on those MIJ bolt ons.
      96xxxxx, 97xxxxx and 98xxxxx serials oftentimes don't indicate '96, '97 and '98.
