Got another Jackson - DKMGT!

I loved my DK1 so much, I picked up, for an excellent price a NOS 2003 DKMGT. I got it in Cobalt Blue Swirl. I have real EMGs in another guitar, but for now the EMG HZs sound find and the "turbo boost" works quite well for leads - a bit of a boost. I only turn it up about 1/4-1/3 but it gives that extra "oomph" and sustain.

Great guitar for the price.

My first Jackson was a DKMGT, got it in black and added Seymour Duncan pickups (JB/'59) after a few months... I love this guitar! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

It should if you hook it up to them, because the EMG HZs are passive pickups as well.

Good point.
One exception: when you ordered something (especially something you won't be seeing for a few months) you're exempt until you get it [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Yes, it should.

However, I took it out in favor of a second volume control... with the Seymours I don't need a boost anyway.
And with the stock pickups I just always had a mild boost on to add a little oomph (and a little mud too, unfortunately).

Yes. I own the one in the picture. It has a very fast neck and sounds great. Cranked it last night at rehearsal - wonderful harmonics for leads. I'm very happy with it.
